Paedo Priest William Green housed by Cornerstone Day Centre

Angela Shannon(Cornerstone Day Centre, Moss Side, Manchester), property manager, of 17 Beveridge Street made the bizarre and cruel decision to remove residents from their home so that a convicted sexual predator had the run of the property. Mark Wiggin (CEO of Caritas Salford) lied that he had any connection with the property and claimed that William Green was not housed in the vicinity of St Bede's school. The catholic diocese of Salford continues to make disastrous decisions about  priests with convictions for sexual abuse. It chooses to harbor and protect to the detriment of the wider community and misinform the public when their actions are questioned.

Former catholic priest William Green was convicted in Manchester of 27 counts of sexual abuse on boys between the ages of 11 and 15 whilst working as a teacher and St Bede's College. Shortly after release from prison, it was decided, by the Caritas that Green should be placed in a property,17, Berveridge Street  managed by the diocese. The house was within close proximity to where his crimes had been perpetrated. The diocese has shown scant regard for Green's victims and a certain arrogance in this undertaking . The diocese covers an area of 620 square miles, yet they chose to place Green in a property that is a short walk from the school where his sexual crimes had taken place. During his stay Green was given day to day assistance by Caritas employees and volunteers. Green did not want for anything, He was given the best room in the house with en-suite facilities. He was given a brand new, state of the art TV for his room, so he did not have to share the communal areas.Green feasted on food and luxury pastries that had been donated for the homeless of Manchester. If Green needed an errand running he was not short of people to lift and carry, fetch and clean. Green had been welcomed back into the bosom of the church and was afforded VIP status.

A victim of, paedophile, William Green speaks to the BBC about their ordeal.

Green's Caritas residence is denied by Caritas CEO Mark Wiggins.
